461 Dean in Brooklyn, formerly known as B2 Atlantic Yards, is the largest prefabricated structural building in the world.
The 32-storey tower is a residential development of 363 rental studio, one and two-bedroom apartments, 50 percent of which are designated as affordable to low- and middle- income households. The development also features 4,000 square-feet of retail space at its base.
461 Dean was designed by SHoP Architects and developed by by Forest City Ratner Companies. Modular construction consists of 930 steel modules, meaning around 60% of the construction has been developed off-site.
