The Project

University Station is a six-storey development providing one and two-bedroom apartments for affordable senior living in South Denver.

The building provides 60 units of rental housing and 2,500 sq. ft. of community room over a 75,000 sq. ft. of space.

It was designed by Beck Architecture and developed by Mile High Development, LLC and Koelbel and Company.

USAP Solution

University Station’s decking comprises CemDeck over a steel frame.

CemDeck is a non-combustible structural fiber cement board which has been specially developed for use in fire-rated decking assemblies. It provides excellent load bearing performance, with UL listed floor assemblies. An interlocking tongue-and-groove ensures solid joining and uniform loading across supports. More about CemDeck.

The Project

Markham Gardens is a premier apartment community on Staten Island.

Set on a 12-acre site, Markham features studios, one, two, three and four-bedroom apartments for rent. Each building has front and rear yards, the latest in finishes and fixtures, and a groundbreaking energy-efficient design. A 7,500 square foot community building includes a resident lounge, computer center, classrooms and even indoor basketball.

USAP Solution

Markham Gardens is the largest Versaroc project in North America.

As a tough, durable and highly fire-resistant structural cement bonded particle board (CBPB), Versaroc was ideally suited to use on site as structural decking over a metal frame. More about Versaroc.

CemClad decorative cement panels have been used for the facade cladding of these retail buildings.

CemClad is a decorative structural fiber cement panel ideal for a wide range of design applications. Panels are sanded smooth on one side for a clean, uniform surface without any factory markings.

It can be routed and shaped to achieve the desired aesthetics, can be easily stained, painted or clear-sealed to achieve a desired look, and can simulates the look of natural stone at a fraction the cost. More about CemClad.

Monarch Landing, Illinois

The Project

The Springs at Monarch Landing is a 94,000 sq. ft. health and rehabilitation center, comprising a total of 124 new residences including 48 devoted to short-term rehabilitation, 48 for skilled nursing and 28 for assisted living memory support.

The 15-acre site was redeveloped by Senior Care Development and architects Perkins Eastman in 2011.

USAP Solution

Versaroc cement board has been installed at Monarch Landing as roof sheathing, thanks to its high resistance structural bounded particles, resistance to water and impact. More about Versaroc.

The Project

Anchorage High School is a public high school which serves grades 9-12 in Anchorage, Alaska, and is part of the Anchorage School District.
