Versaroc® Cement Bonded
Particleboard
Versaroc® from U.S. Architectural Products is a structural
cement-bonded particleboard made with mineralized wood particles and portland
cement. It can be worked with typical carpentry tools; fasteners should be treated for corrosion
resistance.
The formaldehyde-free, termite-resistant, noncombustible product is available in stock nominal
("uncalibrated") thicknesses of 10 mm (3/8"), 12 mm (1/2"), and 19 mm (3/4"); several other thicknesses may be
special-ordered. "Calibrated" stock is sanded to more precise thicknesses for applications requiring tighter
tolerances.
These boards are available square-edged in 48" widths; or
tongue-and-groove in 46-1/2" widths for thickness of 16 mm (5/8") or more. Stocked length is 96"; shorter or longer
boards (up to 120") are available by special order, as are widths less than 48" square or 46-1/2" tongueand-
groove. All orders can be factory-sealed on all surfaces with an acrylic paint sealer.
Due to the energy intensity of the cement content, this
product should not be considered a green substitute for particleboard except where significant resistance to fire,
moisture, termites, or vermin are required.
